Letter of Introduction Reflection

This was the first reflection of the course. These questions guided me to compare my previous works and experiences to the Letter of Introduction document. My response is shown as a paragraph below the questions.

Have you done similar type of writing in the past?

Does your writing tell a story?

What does this piece reveal about you as a learner?

Do you believe your reader will notice what you wanted the reader to notice?

What would you have to change to get them to notice what you want then to notice?

I have done a similar type of writing in the past; this letter of introduction reminded me of when I was writing my college essay for high school. The same aspect for both of these works of writing was listing a personal challenge while telling a story; and how development was achieved through that experience. My writing portrays a broad perspective of my life since I arrived in The United States. What this piece reveals about me as a learner is that I can make connections easily with topics that might seem unrelated. I do believe the reader will notice what I wanted the reader to notice because of the relationship between my struggles, needs, interests, choices, and goals. I would probably have to change the transitioning and the percentage of certain topics to clarify my point.
